Tahtouh Tax is a personal accounting practice — large-firm tax experience, brought to individuals and small businesses without the layers.
The practice
Tahtouh Tax was founded by Roy Tahtouh on a simple idea: good tax and accounting work starts with actually understanding your situation. The work begins with understanding your needs and agreeing on scope and fees before anything starts.
The approach doesn’t change from there — listen first, keep the books and records organized through the year, and explain the numbers in plain language so the decisions stay yours to make.
Meet Roy Tahtouh
Roy is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a member of the Texas Society of CPAs. He began his career in tax at BDO USA, spent time in SEC financial reporting for a publicly traded company, and most recently was a Tax Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP in Houston — where he reviewed partnership, corporate, and international returns and mentored newer accountants.
That range matters for the work here. Returns with rental property, investments, K-1s, multiple states, or a small business behind them are familiar ground, and the reporting gets handled the way a large firm would handle it — with a small firm’s attention.
Roy holds a Master of Science in Accountancy and a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Houston, and works with clients in English, Arabic, and French.
